MRI, X-rays, CT, or prior electrodiagnostic results are compared with the clinical pattern. Additional tests are ordered only when they may change the plan.
Treatment is matched to the likely cause and may include monitoring, pain management, a targeted injection, decompression, or another specialist referral.
